Severn Trent dispersal sells to 2300gns
Trade was fast and furious for all age groups at last week’s sale to disperse Severn Trent Water’s non-pedigree milk recorded Holstein herd at Bulcote, Nottinghamshire and the averages attained at the end of the day make a mockery of the prices received at some recent high profile pedigree herd dispersal sales.
Big numbers of commercial cattle and large crowd can only result in a fast trade and that is exactly what happened.
Top price of the day for females was 2300 gns for a freshly calved heifer sired by Canyon-Breeze Axiom purchased Jack Read and Son of Tharston, Norwich. Messrs.
