Store cattle sell to £1,140 at Lockerbie

Store cattle sold well at Harrison and Hetherington’s recent sale at Lockerbie with bullocks topping at £1,140.

422 cattle were forward with a Limousin from Messrs WD & R Thorburn, Parks Farm selling for the top per head price.

A pen of Aberdeen Angus from Messrs LR Howatson, Corrie Mains sold to 261p/kg.  Among the females, heifers peaked at £1,205 (x5) for Limousins from Messrs R Robson & Son, Laverockhall and to 240p/kg for Charolais from Mr A J MacGregor, Relief Farm.

OTM bullocks sold to £1,145 from Mr B Young, Ibrak, and young bulls topped at £745 or 240p/kg for a run of Limousins from Mr A J Dalgleish, Mid Murthat.
