Linky Limousin commands top bid at Brecon spring sale
A bid of 5,800gns led Limousin trade at the breed society’s early spring show and sale at Brecon, when the August 2015-born Garyvaughan Linky from CV Lewis, Buttington New Hall, Welshpool, sold to W and J Edwards, Llangollen, Clwyd.
Sired by Emslies Integrity and out of the Plumtree Deus daughter Garyvaughan Inky, the top-priced Garyvaughan Linky stood as senior champion in the pre-sale show.

The second-best price of 5,100gns went to Ashledge Latvia from regular Brecon consignors Messrs AG Kirton and Sons, Severn Lodge Farm, Kinlet, Bewdley.
This June 2015-born bull is a son of the Irish sire Killcastle Horace and is out of the Goldies Osprey daughter Ashledge Tammy.
Ashledge Latvia was purchased by T Jenkins and Son, Torycoed Farm, Rhiwsaeson, Llantrisant, Mid-Glamorgan.
At 4,300gns was the senior champion Killerton Lava from Mr and Mrs PW and SM Greed, Columbjohn Farm, Rewe, Exeter, Devon.
By Kaprico Donato, an Ampertaine Abracadabra son and out of Killerton Etna, he was purchased by TP and TI Rogers, Manor Farm, Leominster.
The Killerton herd also had the day’s junior and overall supreme champion in the shape of the August 2015-born Killerton Longjohn.
This bull, sired by Crossdykes Goliath, is out of Killerton Hotpants. Purchasing the champion at 3,900gns was O and H Moyle, Brynunty, Llanbrynmair, Powys.
Loosebeare Lazy, a bull with a top 1% beef value of LM+46 made 4,000gns for Messrs EW Quick and Sons, Loosebeare Manor, Crediton, Devon.
Sired by the Sympa son Aghadolgan Emperor and out of Loosebeare Gemma, the July 2015-born Loosebeare Lazy went locally when purchased by IT Davies & Son, Danyreglwys Farm, Garthbrengy, Brecon.
