Texel and Beltex females top 3,400gns at UA
United Auctions annual sale of pedigree Texel and Beltex females saw a top price of 3,400gns for a Texel gimmer from the Duncryne flock belonging to Mr K Jarvie.She sold to Mr J Innes, Strathbogie. This gimmer is a daughter of Milnbank Sound Investment and is carrying twins to Balter Thunderbird and was placed second in the pre-sale show judged by Alan Blackwood, Auldhouseburn.
The second highest bid was again for a Duncryne gimmer, ET sister to the highest price, this time finding her way home with Miss Caroline Orr, Halbeath at a price of 2,400gns,. This gimmer was placed first in the show carrying triplets to Balter Thunderbird.
Next top price went to the Strathbogie Flock belonging to Mr J Innes, a Proctors Samurai daughter and in lamb to Strathbogie Untouchable selling to Mr Steven McCollum, Carmavy Texels, Northern Ireland.
Next there was a call of 1,800gns this time for a gimmer from the Formanhill flock belonging to Micheal Leggat selling to Mr Bell, Longtown.
Several other gimmers realised four figure prices, another of Strathbogies made 1,600gns, Knapp selling to 1,200gns and Nochnary selling to 1,100gns.
Beltex Females sold to 750gns from the Eildon Flock belonging to Mr G Maxwell.
