Turbo Texels peak at 900gns

The annual production sale of the Turbo Dutch Texel flock of Jan Rodenburg, Llandysul Ceredigion, saw a top call of 900gns on Monday.

 

The headline price went to March-2011 born shearling ram, Turbo Solid, which was secured by D R McIntyre, Kinrive, Glenmoy, Forfar. This one is a Turbo Rover son, out of a dam by Turbo Monarch.

 

Next best at 780gns was another shearling ram, this time by Turbo Reach out. Turbo Shape found a new home with J M and C E Mitchell, Northway Court Cottage, Twekesbury.

 

Not far behind at 750gns was Turbo Size – a Turbo Turbo Deyne son out of a dam by Turbo Magnum. This one went to R M and A E Bell, High Fell, Brampton, Cumbria.

 

J Knight of Church Style, Wasdale, bought shearling gimmer, Turbo UK743079 for their Cumbrian flock. She is a Turbo Rainbow daughter and was secured for 720gns.

 

Next best at 700gns was another shearling ram, this time Turbo Sea-Lord. He is by Turbo Turbo Deyne and joins the flock of Messrs Dowson and Sartin, Battle Hill, Co Durham
