Whitebred Shorthorns sell to 3,200gns at Carlisle

A small consignment of Whitebred Shorthorns bulls peaked at 3,200gns at Borderway, Carlisle.

 

Sale leader was the male and supreme champion Bloch Heckie from G Bell and Co, Langholm , Dumfriesshire.

Sired by Park William he is out of a homebred dam.  He returned to Langholm with J Robertson and Son.

 

Next best when selling for 1,700gns was Keith Laurie’s Corrie Mercury, from Brampton, Cumbria. Sired by Burnedge Knight he is out of a homebred. He sold to J Patteron and Son, Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire.

 

Averages: seven bulls, ÂŁ1,650 and two females, ÂŁ1,013.25.
