Winter Fair for eastern sheep farmers
Sheep producers on the look out for some mid-winter management advice should make a note of the new sheep event being organised by the Eastern Region of NSA. The region’s first “Winter Fair” event takes place at Melton Mowbray Market on Friday 27th January.
Sheep farmers will be able to discuss feeding, EID and tagging and see a wide range of handling equipment. All aspects of sheep management will be covered including animal health, shearing, grassland management and marketing stock
The seminar sessions will provide a varied programme covering a wide range of issues.
EBLEX will give a presentation on the outlook for the sheep industry and undertake a virtual lamb selection talk.
Young shepherds (aged 26 and under) can enter the Young Shepherds Competition, sponsored by Mole Valley Farmers with the chance of winning £500. Application forms are available on the NSA website.
