CFMoto launches new 580cc UForce UTV

CFMoto has expanded its petrol-powered UTV range with a new mid-sized model.

The UForce 600 is propelled by a single-cylinder, four-stroke 580cc engine, which puts it between the existing 495cc UForce Tracker 550 and pokier 963cc UForce 1000.

Like its stablemates, it runs through a two-speed belt-drive transmission with selectable four-wheel drive and an electronically controlled front diff-lock.

The comprehensive spec includes electronic power steering, hydraulic disc brakes on all four corners, and independent suspension front and rear that provides a 270mm ground clearance.

A towbar and accompanying seven-pin trailer light socket, electronic front winch with remote control, and 12in black alloys are also part of the package.

A set of low-level safety doors is standard, but those keen on a bit more protection from the elements can opt for a full cab, which adds £1,499 to the list price.

As for carrying capacity, the gas-assisted tipping cargo bed is good for 250kg (50kg less than the other CFMoto models) and is rated to tow 700kg.

There’s also a storage compartment under the bench seat for tools and other farming paraphernalia.

List price is £10,999 (including VAT), which undercuts all of the big names.

Its closest rival is the 567cc Polaris Ranger 570, which is lighter than the UForce (499kg versus 640kg) and has similar load-bed and towing limits. It costs £10,999 with electronic power steering.

By comparison, John Deere’s most basic petrol model, the Gator XUV 835M, has a bigger 812cc engine, but is priced at £21,593.
