Cereals 2010: Stoke farmer wins FW/Amazone competition

James Seabridge (centre), who farms at Barlaston near Stoke on Trent, won a drilling season’s use of an Amazone Cirrus 4001 4m drill in the recent Farmers Weekly competition.
James, his father David and brother William, milk 220 cows, have 300 beef animals and 300 acres of arable.
Their policy on machinery, says James, is to buy new and then keep for a good long time, but to look after their machinery well. Also in the picture is Amazone product manager Simon Brown and FW machinery editor David Cousins.
