Chris Moorhouse’s post puller

On Chris Moorhouse’s grass and soft fruit farm at Emley, Huddersfield,
So he designed a post puller that uses two offset bars set at just the right distance to exert the pressure needed to pull even a reluctant post from the ground. Mounted on the front of the farm’s telehandler with two chains, it’s gloriously simple.
First Chris drives forward until the lower bar hits near the top of the post. The upper bar then goes over the top of the post and he lowers the device and reverses slightly.
As he lifts, the bars wedge against the post and grip on to it tightly. Once it’s out, the post is lowered until the tip touches the ground, at which point the puller releases its grip and slides off.
The tool took very little time to make and it means that he can pull out multiple posts without leaving the seat.
