Could you be Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year 2021?

Entries are now open for the Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year (FSOOTY) competition, with the winner lifting the trophy in the Sprays & Sprayers Arena at Cereals.

The contest, organised by Syngenta, aims to recognise operators’ professional approach and encourages them to share their skills and experience to help fellow sprayer drivers. It isn’t limited to those with the shiniest kit, either.

“The competition is not about the latest, biggest and brightest equipment or purpose-built stores,” says Scott Cockburn, FSOOTY judge and Syngenta applications specialist.

“Rather, it looks for operators who have a thorough understanding of their work and are prepared to show how they handle and apply products safely and efficiently, with respect for the environment.”

Interested operators have to answer three straightforward questions and submit their entry by 30 November.

The winner will bag an expenses paid trip to Agritechnica 2021 in Germany, while the six finalists get a pair of tickets for Cereals.
