Agritechnica 2023: Weaving launches low-cost Lynx tine drill
Evesham-based outfit Weaving returned to the halls of Hanover for the first time in a decade with a new min-till tine drill – the Lynx.
It is a lighter, more compact version of the popular Sabre Drill, it comes in about £13,000 cheaper, and just 150hp should suffice for the 6m version.
This makes it an appealing proposition for growers without the tractor horsepower or financial firepower for something more complicated.

However, it works in much the same way as the Sabre, with four banks of 12mm tungsten-tipped tines mounted to the frame via sprung clamps to provide a row spacing of 166mm.
On their spines are height-adjustable stainless-steel seed tubes, fed from the 2,000-litre plastic hopper by an electric metering system with RDS Artemis Lite controls.
A side-to-side wing pivot allows the drill to follow the camber of a sloping field, with depth set using aluminium spacers on the load-carrying flotation tyres.
Out back is a staggered zigzag following harrow, which can be adjusted in height and pitch.
There are currently two Lynx models available – the 4.8m 4800M is priced at £37,800, while an extra £2,000 will get you the 6m 6000M.
