Kverneland extends seed-and-fert toolbar drill to 6m
Kverneland 6m f-drill Plus © Kverneland Kverneland’s 6m f-drill toolbar is now capable of laying seed and fertiliser simultaneously, thanks to the addition of a second distribution head.
The centre-fold rig, typically paired with a Rotago F power harrow and front-mounted 2,200-litre Maxi Plus hopper to form a combi outfit, was previously limited to seed-only sowing.
KV diehards wanting twin-product capacity had to settle for the smaller 4m version.

But they can now have 48 of the firm’s CX-II “double entry” coulters downstream of the two distributors.
The latter is mounted in line with the tractor to accommodate the frame when it is swung up for transport.
These are fed by the 60/40 split front hopper, each section armed with its own electrically driven Eldos metering unit capable of delivering 1-400kg/ha of seed or fertiliser.
Suitors keen on the format but concerned about the cost or weight can shave off a few pounds by downsizing to a new iteration of the 1,600-litre Compact tank.
This is now available in the same Plus guise as the Maxi, with two sections and corresponding metering systems.
Both can be fitted with twin front cameras that come with a dedicated in-cab screen, and weigh cells – something also retrofittable to existing f-drill combinations.
List price of a 6m model with Maxi Plus hopper and isobus controlled Rotago F power harrow is £171,651.
