New 3m power-harrow joins Amazone tillage range

Amazone has unveiled a new power-harrow designed for tractors of up to 240hp.

The 3m-wide KE 3002-240 features twelve carriers for the pairs of 290mm-long tines, which are angled to improve soil crumbling on heavy ground, particularly after ploughing.

Smaller spur gears have allowed the designers to keep the trough compact – something that Amazone says has reduced tractor lift capacity requirements and means harrow-mounted combi drills can be positioned closer to the tractor. This, in turn, could reduce the need for front ballast.

Seed drills, such as the firm’s Cataya Super, can be mounted to the KE 02 via a Quicklink system, and paired with an Avant 02 pneumatic front tank.

Amazone offers a raft of roller options for the back, from a light-weight cage to a heavy ring or toothed packer for stiff ground.
