See ploughs, cultivators and min-till drills at one of two cultivations events next week

Fed up with drying damp corn or staring out at sodden crops? Take a break next week by visiting one of the two cultivations events taking place around the UK.

You can see everything from ploughs to power harrows and min-till drills to mole ploughs in action.

It’s a great chance to compare the performance of difference pieces of kit you’re thinking of buying. Or else chatting to the maker or supplier about what their machine can do and what it costs. Or just seeing what’s new in cultivations equipment generally.

First off is the Normac Event, organised by the Norfolk Farm Machinery Club. It takes place on Tuesday 9 September from 10am onwards at Brettenham Manor Farm, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 2RP.

Entry is free and you can get more information by ringing 01986 788 209 or clicking on www.normac.uk.com

Two days later (Thursday 11 September, 10am-3pm) there’s the first of the Tillage 2008 events at Desborough, near Corby, Northamptonshire LE16 8FE. Then the second Tillage 2008 event takes place on Thursday 25 September at Charterhall Farm, Duns, Berwickshire TD11 3RE.

Ring 0845 644 8748 or click on www.tillage.co.uk for more details. Cost of both Tillage 2008 events is £10/car or £5 single occupancy.
