Danish Agromek show: Hardi shows off new trailed sprayers
Danish company Hardi was showing off its new Navigator trailed sprayers at Agromek.
These high-spec 3000/4000 litre machines fit in between the Ranger and Commander series machines and come with an electronic/hydraulic IntelliTrack steerable drawbar that gives a turning radius of just 6m. There’s also a 35 litre TurboDeflector high-capacity induction hopper to give good mixing and a 500 litre clean water tank. Boom options range from 12m to 30m.
Hardi boom height system offers ground and canopy modes
As well as showing off its new Navigator trailed sprayers, Danish sprayer giant Hardi also launched its most sophisticated system yet for altering boom height. It has the familiar ultrasonic sensors, but they are designed to scan a 35deg angle to give better accuracy than a simple pinpoint beam. The driver can also choose whether he wants to measure distance to the crop canopy (best in level crop canopies like wheat) or to the ground (best for young maize crops or sugar beet where a lot of the soil is showing. It’s available on several of the company’s machines.
