TNS pitches for all-makes servicing with attractive discounts

Eastern counties farm machinery dealer Thurlow Nunn Standen (TNS) is pitching to handle servicing and repairs for older tractors of any make and model, not just the Agco products it sells.

The five-branch outfit, headquartered at Littleport in Cambridgeshire, has invested £24,000 in multi-brand diagnostics tools with the primary aim of offering a one-stop shop for farmers with a mixed fleet.

This initiative builds on the TNS Plus programme introduced last year that offers 20% off labour and parts for servicing and repairs to Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra machines that are between six and nine years old, and 30% off for tractors and machinery aged 10 years and older.

Strong uptake for the Agco products scheme encouraged the business to offer the same terms for other leading makes, such as Claas, John Deere, Kubota and New Holland, says Adam Cuttridge, head of service and branch operations.

“It has been great to see so many new faces coming through the door as a result of this initiative, with around one-third of those using the scheme being farmers we haven’t worked with before, or not for a long while.

“That tells us there’s a real appetite for this kind of support.”
