The biggest of a new four-model range of New Holland big balers, the Belgian-made Big Baler 1290 broke cover at Cereals 2012.
It is designed to give give 20% more speed and 5% more bale density.
The extra throughput comes thanks to a heavier flywheel, new pickup design and increased number of strokes per minute.
There’s also better access to the machine’s innards.
It’s available for the 2013 season and price is expected to be up to 10% more than the current model.
