Kuhn offers retrofit isobus control kit for triple mowers

It comprises a job computer installed on the machine with the software and connections needed to exchange data with an isobus terminal in the tractor cab, whether installed as original equipment or a third-party unit such as Kuhn’s CCI models.

Once fired up, the system provides a graphic display of the mower with touchscreen operation of various functions and settings.
These include modifying automated lift/lower for headland turn sequences, adjusting the suspension to suit different ground conditions, and single-touch folding and unfolding of the rear “butterfly” units.
The isobus setup can also provide precise area measurement and operate the GPS guidance section control function to automatically raise and lower the mowers to avoid running into swaths laid on previous bouts where they converge.

Machines compatible with the £5,060 isobus kit include the latest GMD 9530+ plain mower and its “RV” variant with augers on both units forming a central swath; and the FC 9530D+ and FC10030D+ steel finger conditioning models.
It’s also compatible with model year 2027 GMD 9530+ and GMD 10030+ plain mowers, and FC 9530+ DR, FC 8830+ DR and FC 10030+ DR conditioning mowers.
The 9530s operate across 9.13-9.53m, the 8830 is an 8.33-8.73m machine, and 10030 iterations span 9.53-9.93m.
Kuhn’s retrofit kit can be supplemented by an isobus-compatible joystick to which various functions can be allocated as an alternative to using the touchscreen display.
