Vicon adds BX swath grouper to its biggest butterfly mower

A belt-type swath grouper is now available on Vicon’s widest working butterfly mower conditioner, the 7100T.

The BX-spec system shifts grass from the rear two mower beds into a central row formed by Vicon’s Extra 732FT front-mounted mower conditioner. This means the triple mower’s 10.2m maximum working width can be placed into a large single swath.

The BX grouping units can also be lifted out of work to leave three individual swaths, or the grass can be thrown across the full working width using the 7100T’s integral spreading hoods.

Quick release mounting points and a multi-coupler for the hydraulic and Isobus connections keep removal and refitting jobs to less than 30mins, Vicon says.

The 7100T mower units use three-bladed discs, a semi-swing steel tine conditioner adjustable through five levels of intensity, and Quattro-Link suspension with adjustable ground pressure.

Prices for the Vicon 7100T BX, including Isobus control, start at £69,883.
