Vicon launches 8.75m Extra 787T triple mower combination

There’s more choice in Vicon’s mower range with the addition of a 8.75m-wide version of its triple mo-co, as a compact alternative to the 10m Extra 7100T.

The new Extra 787T borrows a few features from the existing 700 series, including the firm’s four-arm QuattroLink suspension, break-back protection system and SemiSwing steel tine conditioner.

It weighs 2,975kg and comprises two 3.2m mowing beds, each carrying eight triangular, triple-blade discs. Estimated power requirement is 180hp.

There’s also the option of a “BX” variant that adds rear swath belts to neatly windrow the grass in a single pass. These increase the total weight of the outfit to 3,515kg and require an extra 20hp to run, but can be dismantled in less than 15min to reduce weight, or for times when merging isn’t needed.

For transport, the mower combination folds hydraulically to a position just over 90deg for optimal weight distribution.
