Samasz targets four-rotor rake market with new Z4-1550
© MAG/Oliver Mark Polish maker Samasz has unveiled a prototype four-rotor rake that will go into production in 2027.
The Z4-1550 carries a quartet of newly designed 3.8m rotors, each running on six wheels.

Thanks to a neat hydro-pneumatic suspension system, down pressure is reckoned to be only 300kg/rotor, or 50kg/wheel, with the rest of the near-7t load shouldered by a pair of big transport wheels.
Slip-clutches are fitted as standard, which should protect the driveline if one of the 15 arms on each unit clouts something it shouldn’t.
Also part of the package are an Isobus terminal, automatic frame levelling and an 80deg hitch pivot for sharp headland turns.
Fully stretched, it can cover 15.5m in a single pass – closing to 10.5m in its narrowest position – while leaving a swath of between 1.5m and 2.5m.
For transport, it’ll fold to 3m wide and 4m high without operators having to remove any tine arms.
