Straw bedding specialist Spread-a-Bale now has a Micro model in its range, which is designed for small loaders, skid-steers and diddy pivots with a modest lift capacity.

Round bales up to 1.5m in diameter, or one half of a big square bale, are loaded into the lightweight steel chassis and torn apart by a horizontal rotor that will fling material up to 12m.

Most of the mechanical components have been taken from the firm’s M range, but it requires an oil flow of just 55 litres/min and a lift capacity of 1t to handle the 595kg weight of the implement and 300kg for the bale.

It costs £13,900.
