Rainexo unveils tear- and puncture-proof clamp tarpaulins

A new range of Rainexo tarpaulins, which are claimed to be 100% tear- and puncture-proof, may be useful for keeping silage clamps sealed this season.

Tarpaulins are typically made of a woven material with waterproofing sprayed on, but the Rainexo tarps, sold by German company Bio Green, use a completely waterproof membrane sandwiched in a composite material.
The new design apparently helps to absorb UV rays and dissipate heat, which should avoid cracking and weathering. The product is waterproof, frostproof, chemical-resistant and recyclable, says Bio Green.
The company also offers transparent units to use over polytunnels, with welded fixing eyelets at 50cm spacings along the edge. Prices start at £15 for a 2x3m tarp and are available from Wynnstay.
