Rainexo unveils tear- and puncture-proof clamp tarpaulins
A new range of Rainexo tarpaulins, which are claimed to be 100% tear- and puncture-proof, may be useful for keeping silage clamps sealed this season.

Tarpaulins are typically made of a woven material with waterproofing sprayed on, but the Rainexo tarps, sold by German company Bio Green, use a completely waterproof membrane sandwiched in a composite material.

The new design apparently helps to absorb UV rays and dissipate heat, which should avoid cracking and weathering. The product is waterproof, frostproof, chemical-resistant and recyclable, says Bio Green.Â
The company also offers transparent units to use over polytunnels, with welded fixing eyelets at 50cm spacings along the edge. Prices start at ÂŁ15 for a 2x3m tarp and are available from Wynnstay.
