Investment on the agenda
Better crop prices this year, not to mention rosier longer-term prospects, have given farmers across Europe the spur to finally replace some of the ageing tillage kit that’s still being used.
But it’s important to do your research before reinvesting and there’s no better way to do that than to see it in action at this year’s two Tillage events.
Both take place in September, one of them in Oxfordshire and the other in North Yorkshire (see box) and the organisers expect a good turn-out of farmers and contractors looking to compare kit in action.
As usual there will be ploughs, power harrows, cultivators, rolls, drills and min-till equipment from all the main manufacturers.
