Keep record of SFP inspections

A TOP WELSH Assembly civil servant has invited farmers who get cross-compliance inspections to keep a record of the people who visit.
A farmer attending NFU Cymru‘s Pembrokeshire branch conference said he planned to use a visitor‘s book to log the number of people making cross-compliance inspections.
Gareth Jones, director of the Environment, Planning and Countryside Department, acknowledged that it was a good idea, but indicated that he would be pleased to access the information.
“I would encourage farmers to record the number of inspection they receive,” he said.
“And I would be particularly interested if there is a lot of duplication of effort as I want to avoid multiple inspection visits to farms.”
