Kleber’s new 65-series Gripker tyre is aimed at 80-180hp tractors. The new tyre is the latest addition to the firm’s range of tractor tyres and the Gripker name was selected after 3000 farmers voted for it at the SIMA 2009 show.
Particularly suited to mixed and livestock farms, the new tyre is said to provide superior soil protection thanks to lugs that are designed to reduce damage to emerging crops and grassland. It is also more rounded to ensure that mud is effectively expelled from the tread.
The new range is suited to road use and carries the D speed rating, allowing speeds of up to 65kph. Kleber says that sales of tyres in the 65 Series size category grew by 70% between 2000 and 2008.
