Yorkshire machinery importer Manterra has announced it is to bring in the latest fertiliser and lime spreader from Polish firm Unia.

The RCW Plus gets a hydraulic drive belt conveyor, border spread limiter and folding hopper cover plus mechanically driven spinning discs.

It is available in a choice of 5,500- or 8,200-litre hopper capacity and has a working width of 16m for lime and 36m for granular fertiliser.

It is also capable of variable rate combined with a Trimble steering system.

The RCW Plus joins Unia’s MXL fertiliser and Apollo manure spreaders that were launched earlier in the year.

Manterra hopes the new spreader will offer the appealing combination of big output and good value for money.

Prices for the big Unia RCW 8,200 start at £16,950.
