Horizontal beater Pro+ HBS joins Agri-Spread muckspreader range

County Mayo-based Agri-Spread has launched a new rear-discharge muckspreader that features horizontal beaters and spinning discs.

The Pro+ HBS series should increase the output and precision of manure, compost and bulk material spreading compared with the standard vertical beater range, the company says.

It is available with a 14, 16 or 18t capacity, and has an internal floor width of 1.6m. However, plans for smaller models with 1.5m-wide floors are being drawn up.

A combination of gearboxes and shafts transfer the drive from the tractor’s 1,000-speed pto to the pair of horizontal beaters.

These carry boron flights with 12mm tips that chop and shred the material before it is flung by the 1.1m-diameter discs, with their twin paddles reckoned to be able to spread some material types uniformly to 24m.

Overload protection comes through driveline and disc-paddle shear-bolts, plus a heavy-duty cam clutch for the discs and horizontal beaters.

Standard spec includes a hydraulically controlled slurry door, rear rotor canopy door, LED lights and a border spreading limiter.

A sprung drawbar is optional, as are air-over-hydraulic brakes, load cells and Isobus speed-related rate control.

The machines will be sold through PK Sales in the UK.
