Tagfaster Double Tagger makes tagging quicker

Double tagging often involves two applicators and two sets of tags which have to be manually matched by the person performing the tagging, points out the inventor of the Tagfaster Double Tagger.

Instead, it delivers pairs of tags in alternating colour sequences and in matching number sets, one set for each animal. Ten sets (20 tags) are dispensed from an automatic applicator that protects the tags in a tough transparent ‘horn’, which gradually changes the tags from flat to folded as they are pulled around the horn by the tagging action.

The compulsory yellow EID tag colour is also decorated with a patch of the same plastic year colour as the matching visual tag, in case of year-tag losses.
