Tecnoma launches new mounted sprayers

Big self-propelled and trailed sprayers may get the publicity, but mounted sprayers still account for half the UK market and makers haven’t been slow in developing new models.

French maker Tecnoma (www.landmec.co.uk 01752 891 291) has just launched its Premis series of mounted machines with tank capacities ranging from 300-800 litres.

Aimed at smaller mixed farms, they are said to give good visibility and manoeuvrability when travelling through narrow country lanes and working in awkward fields.

A rotating tank wash and 40-80 litre (depending on main tank capacity) clean water rinse tank are standard.

Tank filling is via the main lid access with a two-stage 500 micron filtration.

Piston/diaphragm pumps deliver 70 litres/min on the Premis 300l and 400l and 115 litres/min on the 600l and 800l versions.

Premis 300l and 400l models are available with the 7m AZ boom manual fold while the 600l and 800l model have a 12m TA rear folding boom.

The company also has a new range of Maxis high-output sprayers with tank capacities of 1200 and 1600 litres.

These have three rotating tank washing nozzles and a big 180-litre clean water rinse tank. A 160 litres/min pump is standard and the Autonet sequential dilution system gives quick disposal of all chemical residues left in the sprayer tank after spraying. A range of boom widths is available.
