Agritechnica 2025: 195-272hp Versatile Nemesis hits Europe

Versatile has finally committed to shipping its Nemesis tractors to Europe, six years after their launch in North America.

The five-strong range, which runs from 195-272hp, is also sold by Kubota in the US and Canada, where it is badged the M8.

There’s no word whether the orange versions will be made available in the UK.

Kubota dealers will certainly hope so, with several having recently voiced their discontent at the company’s failure to produce the six-cylinder model mooted almost a decade ago.

Cummins provides the power plant – its popular B6.7 – while ZF supplies the transmission: a 30-speed powershift on the smaller three models as standard, and a stepless CVT on the top two (an option on the other three).

The bigger pair also offer higher outputs in other areas: 7.4t rear lift, versus 7t on the rest; and 180-litre/min hydraulics through six valves, versus 160 litres/min and five.

This European expansion comes off the back of yet another ownership change at Versatile, with Asko – a Turkish industrial group that counts Basak Traktor among its charges – having acquired the Canadian brand’s parent company, Buhler Industries, 18 months ago.

The tractors are sold in the UK by Lincolnshire-based JPM Agricultural.
