The factory will be built next to the A50 near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, alongside two other JCB plants, and will cover about 350,000 sq ft.

With a computer-controlled production line, robotic welders and an automatic painting unit, it will create more than 200 new jobs by 2022.

The current JCB cab plant in Rugeley, Staffs employs 400 people, with the new factory due to open in the summer of 2019.
