Updated John Deere self-propelled sprayer displayed at SIMA

Two years ago John Deere unveiled a prototype self-propelled sprayer at the SIMA show. And again in 2007, the company chose to display an updated version of the machine.
Details are still sketchy but it is definitely closer to a production model.
Confirmed specifications include a 6.8-litre 215hp engine and two-range 40kph hydrostatic transmission.
The skid-unit has a ground clearance of 1.1m and wheel track widths which can be adjusted from 1.8m to 2.85m, depending on tyre choice.
Each wheel is suspended on a hydraulic cylinder cushioned by a truck-type air-bag.
Tank capacity is 4000-litres and booms from 24m-36m will be available with the company’s BoomTrac automatic height/level control.
AutoTrac GPS steering can also be fitted, along with an automatic boom shut-off/spray overlap-eliminator system.
