Apec supports global trade talks

TRADE ministers from the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (Apec) countries have agreed to support the millennium round of World Trade Organisation (WTO) talks due to begin in November.

Apec ministers also agreed to refer current negotiations on tariff elimination in six specific trade sectors, including oilseeds, food, and fertiliser, to the WTO in Geneva.
