CONSUMERS want more reassurance from government over the safety of British beef, according to an NOP survey.

It found that more than seven out of 10 adults interviewed felt that government should do more to reassure people about British beef.

The survey, carried out between Mar 7 and 9 among 996 adults, found 55% had never been particularly worried about BSE and CJD. But 25% were still as worried as they were a year ago. &#42
