Charolais peak at 2400gns bidding
BIDDING peaked at 2400gns at the joint Charolais sale of the Burnaston herd of W Lees and the Leblanc herd of J Morgan at Lichfield.
This came for an eight-year-old Brampton Ulysse cow out of De Crespigny Odette with a heifer calf at foot by the renowned Escott Diplomat. Snapping up this one from the Leblanc herd was N R Barclay, Aberdeenshire, say auctioneers Wintertons.
And on the same day, the first Scottish sale of unhaltered Limousin females at Perth twice reached 2000gns for stock from Stirlingshire breeder James Patersons Ballangrew Limousin dispersal, report United Auctions.
