Cocoa firmer on LIFFE

COCOA ended firmer on the London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE), helped by the news from Malaysia that the October crop may be poor because of drought. The benchmark December contract is up £5 to £1,120/t.

The market was unsure which way to move as other news suggested that the Ivory Coast might achieve a record crop.
