Coffee hit by Colombian earthquake


COFFEE prices rose on the London International Futures and Options Exchange in the aftermath of the Colombian earthquake.

But local officials said the crop had not been damaged and production would remain intact.

Colombia is the worlds largest coffee producer after Brazil, with total exports last year of 11.2 million 60kg sacks.
