The men were caught on camera during a raid on farm buildings in Ambion Lane, Sutton Cheney, near Hinckley, shortly after 3am on Sunday 17 December.

Leicestershire Police has released CCTV images of the two men they are hunting in connection with the raid.

One of the men was wearing distinctive camouflage-style combat trousers.

PC Rob Cross, of Hinckley and Blaby police, said: “Did you see any suspicious vehicles locally? Have you been offered property that was probably stolen? Stihl chainsaws etc?

“This is a real opportunity to review your farm security. If you’re rural then it’s likely that your property is vulnerable.

“Consider locked and secure containers, good CCTV and sturdy gates. Do what you can to make it as difficult as possible for these thieves to target your property.”

Anyone with information should call PC Cross on 101, quoting incident 17*549563.
