Seven tractors damaged at dealership after gunshot reports

Police are investigating after seven tractors parked at an agricultural dealership were damaged following reports of shooting noises in the early hours of Thursday (9 July).

Gwent Police were called to Cuckoos Row, Raglan, Monmouthshire, at about 1.55am following reports of shots being heard outside a nearby property.

An upstairs window at the address was reportedly damaged, while seven tractors parked at the Frank Sutton agricultural dealership suffered shattered windscreens.

Officers attended the scene and searched the surrounding area, but no suspects were found.

A Gwent Police spokesman confirmed: “We received a report of shooting noises outside an address on Cuckoos Row, Raglan at around 1.55am on Thursday 9 July.

“An upstairs window in the property was reportedly damaged, and seven tractors parked in a nearby business had windscreen damage.

“Officers attended the property and searched the area; no offenders were located.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”

Heavy police presence

The incident prompted a significant police response, with residents reporting a heavy police presence in the village overnight.

Police are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them on 101, quoting log reference 2600217998.

No one at Frank Sutton was available for comment.
