THE US market improved by £1 yesterday as optimism grew over forward wheat sales. The US Government has indicated that it may increase the volumes donated to “needy” nations.

The UK market is drifting on thin volume, with no real buying interest from consumers and shippers. UK class 1 & 2 milling wheats are surprisingly easy for the miller to buy in the nearby, with most grades finding their way into some kind of grist.
