- French FOB spot wheat value: FFr 720 (£ 72.60)
- Chicago September wheat at close: $2.60 (£ 57.58)
PRICES are obviously not attractive at present and therefore very little is being sold from the farm. With the French wheat crop increasing in size by the day, the UK market does not seem likely to improve in the short term.
A Bangladeshi food aid tender comes up on 17 August, which could be the last chance for substantial exports from the UK this side of Christmas.
