Cereals 2016: Arable farmers back Brexit in Cereals EU poll final count

Three farmers drop tokens into ballot boxes, one for remaining in the EU, one for UK leaving the EU and one box for undecided

Arable farmers and agronomists at this years Cereals event shared their voting intentions ahead of the EU referendum, with a majority wanting Britain to leave the EU.

Over the two day event a total of 2,025 people cast their vote in Farmers Weekly’s poll, with 56% voting leave, 32% backing remain and 12% still unsure of how to vote in the referendum next Thursday (23 June).

This poll tallies with the results of Farmers Weekly’s earlier EU referendum survey, which found that 58% of farmers plan to vote to leave the EU.
