NFU Scotland leader re-elected unopposed
Jim McLaren has been re-elected president of NFU Scotland for a further two years.
Mr McLaren, an arable and mixed farmer from Perthshire, was returned unopposed at a union council meeting in Aviemore on Friday (20 February).
At the same meeting, Fife arable farmer Allan Bowie (48) was elected a union vice-president.
Mr Bowie, who producers wheat, barley, potatoes and vegetables on his 440ha (1100 acre) unit in the Kinross area, joins Borders farmer and vet, Nigel Miller (54) at the top table.
Both Vice-presidents will serve a term of one year.
