Three BSE cases on Welsh farm
DEFRA IS investigating how three cows from the same farm in Dyfed, Wales have developed BSE.
This is the first time that the UK has confirmed three cases born after July 1996 with the same farm of origin.
The most recent of the cases was confirmed on Fri (May 27) and has been diagnosed in a Holstein cow born on Sept 28, 2001.
The other cases, which have been identified previously, were born on Oct 3 2001 and May 1 2002.
DEFRA has said it will be following up detailed epidemiological analysis of this case.
