ANGLESEY livestock farmer Bob Parry has been re-elected president of the Farmers Union of Wales, but he will have some new faces on his presidential team.
Glyn Powell of Sennybridge, Powys, who combined farming with teaching until his retirement, will be his deputy.
and union members have chosen three new vice-presidents.
Upland beef and sheep producer Gareth Vaughan of Newtown in Powys and Carmarthen dairy farmer Brian Walters are two of the trio. The third is Terry Bayliss, the FUWs Gwent county chairman. He also chairs Farmers First, the company that controls Farmers Ferry and the meat exporting firm Farmers Fresh.
Lorraine Howells, who was also a teacher until she quit to farm full time, will represent south Wales on the unions finance and organisation committee. Prominent Welsh Black breeder Emyr Jones of Bala will represent north Wales.
