IN BRIEF

uBANHAM Poultry, whose Attleborough, Norfolk factory was recently destroyed by fire, causing about £30m worth of damage, has acquired the nearby Gaymer Cyder plant. Plans for development will commence shortly; demolition of the old site started this week. Meanwhile, production will continue at Penwood Poultry.

uA CURRENCY converter module has been included in new Hylton Nomis account packages to ease trading in euros. Support measures will be set in the new currency after Jan 1, 1999, so farmers may receive subsidy payments in euros and take advantage of cheaper loans and inputs, says the firm. Existing users may upgrade for about £100. &#42
