Lack of research into farming suicides
THE suicide rate among male farmers has consistently been twice that of other men of the same age over the last 20 years.
One-quarter of farming suicides involve men aged 65 or over, compared to 11 % for men generally.
But The Daily Telegraph says in a special report on rural communities that reserach ,which could explain the reasons, does not exist.
