Landini marketing plans in balance

FUTURE marketing plans for Landini tractors hang in the balance as Motokov announces it has been given three months notice to relinquish the franchise.

Strong speculation in the trade suggests that the marque will come under the McCormick banner, but this has not been acknowledged by McCormick. It is speculation fuelled by the fact that Landini is McCormicks parent company.

For Motokov the loss of Landini will perhaps not have as big an impact as it might have had only a few months ago.

The company also imports the Zetor range of tractors which have just received a boost from a change of ownership. The formerly state owned Czech Republic-based manufacturer has now been bought by HTC Holding.

This has resulted in an improved supply of tractors and the introduction of the second generation Forterra tractor range, the first of which was revealed to the public at the Royal Show.

Motokov says it has 50 dealer outlets in the UK for the Landini range – most of them also selling Zetor tractors. &#42
